XBAS Business Intelligence

I am Bas Stiekema, data and AI developer in Almere, the Netherlands. XBAS Business Intelligence B.V. is my company, and I am the only person in it: you work directly with me, from the first conversation to the work that runs.

My background is data warehousing. Years of modelling and loading, and above all: finding out why a figure is wrong. That traceability is exactly what AI applications need and usually lack, and it is why I combine the two instead of dropping AI loosely on top of an organisation.

I put my name under my work. Every figure that comes out of a report or a model is one I should be able to explain, years later included. Hence the signature under this letter.

Working with one person raises a fair question: what if that person is no longer available? That is why handover-ready is my default. Code, documentation and operational scripts live in your own environment, so another developer can take over without having to call me. The documentation is there to make you independent of me, not to tie you to me.

Working solo does not mean standing alone, by the way. I am part of two networks of independent specialists in the data field. I can always draw on them for knowledge, and when a question grows beyond one person, I can bring in extra hands from there. Feel free to ask about it.
